Meet the Fluidly team – Gavin Fell, VP Sales & Marketing

At Fluidly, we’ve grown really quickly over the last few months and we’re still hiring. We’re excited to launch our meet the team series! Have a look what happens behind the scenes. For the first meet the team, we’ve chatted to Gavin Fell, VP Sales & Marketing. Gavin is responsible for all things commercial and heads up the sales and marketing teams.

Hi Gavin, where are you from?

Newcastle.

And what were you doing before you joined Fluidly?

I was working at ReceiptBank as the VP of EMEA Sales. Before that I worked at cloud software provider Exact.

What attracted you to your current role?

Four things: The people, the product, the vision and the leadership. It was clear to me that Fluidly had all the ingredients needed for success and I was keen to join and contribute.

What do you think makes a good sales team leader?

It’s really important that you’re a good leader. You need to be able to trust in your team and have an unwavering desire to succeed.

What’s the most interesting project you’re working on at Fluidly?

I’ve been working on a project related to how we get Fluidly in front of as many small businesses as possible. For businesses who don’t manage their cashflow currently, it can be the lifesaver they don’t know they need. We’re looking at how we provide small businesses with valuable insights about how they can better run their businesses upfront, as a good way to start that conversation and to help business owners be more confident about their business finances.

What’s your biggest achievement at Fluidly?

Gaining agreement with some of the biggest accounting networks in the UK to adopt Fluidly within their business.

What’s your favourite thing about working at Fluidly?

The agility – as a business we’re really responsive and can adapt to change very quickly. That’s very important given that our patented artificial intelligence is being researched and built as we go! The other thing is the people – the team here is just great. It’s a room full of extremely intelligent and focused people who are also really emotionally mature – there’s no egos or politics.

What’s your favourite band?

Oasis.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Fish and chips with mushy peas.

What’s your all-time favourite TV show?

Match of the day ⚽️
