Hannah Voss is our Growth Marketing Manager. Hannah’s responsibilities span the entire marketing mix from acquisition to developing the Fluidly brand to ensuring we are well stocked with our famous Fluidly notebooks.
Hi Hannah, where are you from?
And what were you doing before you joined Fluidly?
I started my working life at a FitTech startup – PayasUgym. I’ve since worked for a number of financial services companies including AXA Insurance. I was most recently working on Post Office Mortgages, managing the digital launch of a range of new and innovative mortgages propositions.
What attracted you to Fluidly?
I was excited to work with an inspiring leadership team and an innovative product – our product represents a completely new way of handling cashflow for businesses so the challenge for marketing is often educating our customers that they don’t need to continue using that Excel spreadsheet anymore. Which is a good challenge to have!
What are key skills for someone working in your area?
In marketing at Fluidly it’s important to have a can-do attitude, be incredibly resourceful and flexible. We’ve grown so quickly and we’ll often need to produce something very quickly, with not much budget at our disposal. As well as that, a deep understanding of the audience is very useful.
What’s the most interesting project you’ve worked on at Fluidly?
We’re experimenting with reaching potential accounting partners in a variety of ways – currently we’re looking at how we can partner with the online accounting press to provide accountants with educational content and interesting webinars that will help them think more clearly about how they offer cashflow services to their clients.
What’s been your biggest achievement while working for Fluidly?
Last year we won three really key industry awards – 2 Accounting Excellence awards and Xero Emerging App Partner of the Year. We were up against much better established competition and were definitely the underdogs, so to be recognised so widely was brilliant.
What’s your favourite thing about working for Fluidly?
It’s a very high performing environment, but also very emotionally mature – everyone is focused on the same goal and does what they need to to make it happen.
What’s your favourite band?
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
What’s your all time favourite TV show?
Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
