I was a CTO working for payments companies such as JudoPay.
What attracted you to Fluidly?
The experience of the team, a product solving a real-world problem and a clear plan to achieve the vision.
What are key skills for someone working in your role?
Being a servant leader. The engineers know how to build great software, so the key is to set the direction and spend your time removing the roadblocks.
What’s the most interesting project you’ve worked on at Fluidly?
Defining a new category of software. It involves being very user centric and creative. Failing fast and iterating is key to figuring out real user value.
What’s been your biggest achievement while working for Fluidly?
Going from a team of 4 with 2-3 deployments per week and sketchy test coverage at best, to a team of 12 averaging 40 production deployments per day, full test driven development and continuous deployment. The change in speed of delivering value to users has been a huge step forward for the business.
What’s your favourite thing about working for Fluidly?
The team, working with such a bright, focused and engaged team of people is really inspiring and it’s a joy to come to work each day.
